Wucai Chinese Transitional Wucai Figural Jar made during the reign of the First Qing Emperor Shuzhi.
Excellent painting to show a continual scene of a procession of boys leading home a scholar on a mythical beast - Kylin. The scene represents the arrival of the successful candidate who has passed the Imperial Palace Examinations.
The neck is painted with a spray of flowers overall excellent subject matter.
The base is clear of glaze and flat.
