Late Ming Transitional ovoid blue and white jar, excellent colour and subject matter of a continuous scene. It shows a gentleman riding a qilin being followed by boys who are waving banners, parasols and plantain leaves.

The procession is in front of a terrace with mountains in the back ground.

A traditional pattern from the Transitional period with manner interpretations of the painting and scene.

This vase is in the lovely violets in milk colours and shows excellent detail
