Mark and period Qianlong pair of Famille rose bowls. 18th century Chinese porcelain.

Wonderful over glaze enamels painted to show Chrysanthemum and peony with rockwork. peony and Chrysanthemum are two of the Four noble flowers with the rock work representing the Scholar.

the detail is delicately painted and the colours are well applied with an overall excellent design.

the square seal mark to the base is in under glaze blue and is a very good mark and would date the bowls to early in the emperor Qianlongs reign.

the inside is painted delicately with a few scattered small flower heads this is following on from the same design that is found toward the end of the Emperor Yongzhengs reign.

wonderful to have them as a pair
