Chinese 16th century Ming Blue and white deep charger with a barbed rim. Made at Jingdezhen during the early part of the reign of the Emperor Wanli . Painted to the centre with an aquatic scene showing a pair of ducks in a pool with lily pads and flowers. The pool appears to be below an overhang of rounded rock work wit flowers issuing it from it The edge painted with qilong dragons in compartments separated by ruyi headed lotus flowers The underside painted with more aquatic weeds and plants The glaze is vey thin to the edge making it look like a brown edge Unusual decoration
