Longquan celadon deep saucer plate made during the Ming Dynasty. Excellent colour and design. The edge of the flattened rim is barbed quite delicately. The inside cavetto has scrolling foliage and flower heads with pomegranates as well. The centre is impressed with a lotus head.

The underside is moulded with ribs in the more traditional style.

The heavy body is covered in a thick glaze with excellent colour. all but a ring inside the foot rim is covered with the glaze.

Good quality piece.
