Chinese porcelain 17th century Ming dynasty kraak blue and white deep saucer plate. Made during the reign of the Emperor Wanli for export to Europe with the Dutch East india Company at the kilns at Jingdezhen c1600
Good deep colour and bright white and painted in the typical style with panels to the sides and central roundel to the base. The side panels are painted with fruiting sprays of peaches and the cenre with a singing bird perched on rockwork surrounded with plants.
The underside is painting again in panels with a stylized flowerhead pattern

Kraak porcelain is associated with the Dutch market being carried by The Dutch East India Company but was also purchased throughout Europe including Great Britain
