Blue and white Chinese 16th century large jar made during the Ming Emperors Wanli reign towards the end of the 16th century at the kilns at Jngdezhen.

An impressive jar very well potted and painted to show a continuous scene of sages / officials and attendants in a garden with a fence and bamboo and mountains

The shoulder is painted with a cell border with cartouches of flower heads

The jar is 68cm circumference around the shoulder
