Reference

Diameter
31 cm (12 1/4")
Late Kangxi early Yongzheng impressive Chinese porcelain barbers bowl painted in the Chinese Imari palette for export to Europe. Really pretty excellent piece
The decoration shows a central scene of water with aquatic plants with rockwork beside a pyramid fence and peonies, bamboo and Chrysanthemums. The centre is separated from the sides with a typical Kangxi hatched border with four cartouches of flowers.
The rim is painted with a mixture of auspicious emblems / items and flowers.
To the back the foot rim has two pairs of holes in the footrim which were made before the bowl was glazed, there is glaze in the holes. This was to allow the bowl to be hung when not in use.
