Chinese yellow ground porcelain Brinjal bowl from the late /early 18th century. The decoration is incised into the body and painted with green aubergine and white colours. All the colours on the bowl are strong making it an attractive piece.

the bowl is larger than normal and is very potted and glazed.

The underside has a square seal mark in a double circle on a white body and the inside has a painting of a flower spray.

Brinjal bowls are not common and they get there name from being lead glazed porcelain.

Many of these bowls are damaged due to the fineness of the porcelain This overall is in good condition to the inside there is a small hair crack to the glaze but it does not go through the body
