Chinese early 18th century porcelain bowl made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi. This type is known as a brinjal bowl with in filled incised decoration on a white body with a lead coloured oxide glaze. The bright green, aubergine and yellow are more common than this light coloured green bowl. The shape is also rare being the open flaring conical shape and is very elegant.

The incised decoration of lotus flowers and sprays is in filled with white, dark green and aubergine colours.

The white body to the base is painted with an under glaze double circle around a square seal chop mark

A very good example of type especially as it is one of the more unusal styles and rarer colours
