Chinese early 18th century triple gourd blue and white / celadon porcelain vase made at the kilns at Jingdezhen. Fantastic quality the potting and colour are excellent.

the bottom is glazed with a light celadon / green glaze below a burnt brown band. This would have been potted as one section. The next section, the middle bulb, is painted in under glaze blue with a geometric hatched pattern with small roundels of lotus flowers. The final section to have been potted and applied is again in under glaze blue with lappets coming from the neck and the base of the top gourd. the very to of the neck has a hatched patter different to middle section below a café au lit rim

The quality of this vase is reflected to the inside of the rim as well where there is decoration as well in the form of a double line in under glaze blue.

The blue is Mohammadan blue and overall this has to be my favourite ever piece.

There is no discernible off potting
