Chinese early 18th Century blue and white porcelain pair of baluster vases made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi as Export ware to Europe.
Excellent decoration painted with a pheasant on rock work with peonies around the rock and flying insects.
Excellent colour and painting and the shape is typical of baluster vases for the Dutch and British market where they were used as decoration on coffers or dressers as can be seen in many contemporary oil paintings.
The white metal is probably silver applied to change the use of the vases.
