Early 18th century Chinese blue and white bowl made during the Emperor Kangxis reign with a six character Kangxi linear mark with in a double circle. This square shaped bowl with canted corners was made at the kilns at Jingdezhen.

Each side is painted with figures in a landscape setting and the corners are painted with a geometric stylized pattern.

One side is painted with a seated lady in front of a fence by hollow rock and a Plantain (banana tree) another side with a lady with an animal, the next with a seated lady with bamboo tree and fence, and the final side with a seated lady on a terrace with rockwork and tree. The inside painted with three jumping boys.

If a line extends up through the middle of the mark and over into the inside of the bowl it would cut down through the middle of the scene in the well of the bowl.
