Chinese early 18th century blue and white small plate made at the kilns at Jingdezhen during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for export to Europe.
painted to the front with the traditional pattern of a seated lady with a young boy who is often dancing or jumping in this case Jumping. This pattern was often copied by the later early European factories The woman is seated under a tree in front of a pyramid fence on the banks of a river.
The sides intricately painted with a geometrical hatched pattern with four oval cartouches of fruit (peaches) and foliage
The back has a six character Cheng Hua mark inside a double circle. The mark is an apocryphal one not one put on for deceptive purposes
