Chinese 18th century blue and white moulded tea bowl and saucer. Made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi. Rare decoration to the inside of the bowl. Made for export to Europe at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
excellent colour and potting. The painting is almost pencil painting where the colour is not totally blocked in but shaded with neat brush work. The decoration shows stylized scrolling foliage with lotus flowers
The rare part is to the inside of the tea bowl where the initials EE are surrounded by a wreath of leaf type decoration.
The edge around the saucer, top of the bowl both inside and outside has a border of leaves.
Both the bowl and saucer has double circle to the base around an elaborate Ding mark.
