Chinese early 18th century blue and white porcelain pear shaped bottle vase made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi. Made at the kilns of Jingdezhen.

Excellent colour and painting to show the motifs associated wit the scholar and nobility, including Ruyi head sceptre, peacock feathers, vases, jardinières and dings ( incense burners).

The hatched border at the base of the neck is typical of Kangxi but it is unusual as it has ruyi headed shaped clouds swirling underneath it. Above the decoration flower sprays are painted up the neck in a slight twisting pattern. There is a double circle to the underside of the rim at the top.

The potting and colour along with the subject matter is very good and it is in size taller than many of this shape.
