Chinese early 18th century blue and white porcelain dragon handled posset pot or potiche made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi.

The two handles are modelled as confronting dragons, their heads being at the top and bottom. A very unusual design of the handles.

The pattern painted on is almost a mixture of Chinese taste decoration and Islamic. It shows an isnik style with geometric style star shapes with stylized flower heads and shaped triangular panels of a cracked ice - ground. This pattern is repeated around the sides

An excellent colour and design. Over all a rare item
