Chinese 17th/18th century blue and white porcelain bowl made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns in Jingdezhen. Excellent painting and colour of The Hundred Boy Pattern.

the paintings shows four attending ladies in a terraced garden with fringed willow trees and hollow rock watching the boys at play.

The painting of the boys shows the boys dressing up, or involved in various activities. The movement in the painting is wonderful and the detail is exceptional.

The inside of the bowl is painted with three jumping boys again with detail and movement. To the base of the bowl the inside of the foot rim is painted with a double circle around a six character apocryphal reign mark to the earlier Ming Emperor Cheng Hua.
