An unusual vases with a mixture of Islamic, Buddhist and Chinese taste decoration in an all over pattern. The single vase which I have and these is a very rare occurence and a pair is wonderful.
The main part of the body is painted with scrolling lotus in Islamic shaped panels with ruyi headed shaped foliage. The pattern on the neck is of a triangular cell shaped design with small shaped panels of foliage
The top of the neck and below the neck a typical Kangxi hatched pattern
Double circle around an artemesia leaf to the base
The artemesia leaf is synonomous with loyalty and honesty with learning
