Reference

Diameter
13 cm (5")
Framed Height
7 cm (2 3/4")
Chinese 18th Century blue and white lobed moulded porcelain bowl. Excellent potting and painting. The painting shows two long Elizas, Ladies in a fenced garden either side of a large Jardinière with flower. The scene is a repeating scene and separated by a narrow band on one side it looks like a pavilion and against it looking the other way a cliff.
To the base is a double circle around a six character Cheng Hua mark which is an apocryphal mark honouring the earlier Ming Emperor not a deceptive mark.
The inside is painted down from the barbed rim with fruiting and trailing vines which represent fertility. To the base on the inside is a seated China man probably representing a Confucian scholar.
excellent quality and condition.
