Reference

Diameter
10 cm (3 1/1")
Yongzheng mark Wucai bowl with chasing five toed dragons and phoenix probably Republic Period. The bowl has a six character linear Yongzheng mark with in a double circle to the base but dates from the first half of the 20th Century, as the mark is very good there is one small discrepancy which is common in the Republic period.
The horned Dragons to the out side and the one to the centre on the inside are in iron red and separated by a phoenix to the outside. the dragons are chasing the fiery pearl of wisdom. The painting and the enamelling is beautifully done and in excellent condition
The underside of the rim is painted with the eight precious treasures and this although found on a few Yongzheng pieces is a more common Republic motif.
the axis of the mark if extended up the sides and into the well of the bowl would dissect the inner dragon vertically.
Overall an excellent piece
