Chinese 17th century -Tianqi - mark and period blue and white porcelain bowl. Excellent decoration with the Red cliff poem to the side and painted with the Northern Song poet who composed the poem Su Shi re - visiting the cliff with 2 companions. in the best Confucian tradition.

Inside painted with flower heads and swirls. the inside base is painted with a 4 character mark for Tianqi

excellent small bowl of type with good colour and decoration and made for the Chinese market and not the Japanese one as so much of the Tianqi ware was.
