Chinese Transitional blue and white bowl, made at the end of Ming Dynasty during the reign of Tianqi or early Chongzhen. There is a four character mark to the inside that reads Yong Le Nian Zhi The inside is painted with swirls interspersed woth flower heads.

The outside has decoration based on the scholar and Confucius. It shows a scholar with an attendant and a pupil in a fenced garden infront of a window.



The foot rim is flat with a hollowed out center.
