Kangxi miniature double gourd porcelain vase. Made during the first half of the Emperor Kangxis reign. and painted an Imari Palette with sunflowers/chrysanthemums and grasses, a design often found on just blue and white vases.

Miniature vases although ended up as dolls house pieces were actually brought in rather like the trades mans samples. They were used to show what shapes and patterns could be made and in any size. often these small vases were damaged when they became toys or vases in a dolls house.
