Qianlong / Jia Jing Chinese porcelain model of a seated boy with undeglaze blue and white colour.
These seated boys were brought back to Europe as novelties. they were found in the Nanking cargo which sank c1752 and went through to the early 19th century. many were modelled as seated although there were a few standing. It is thought that they were almost viewed like the Staffordshire early figures and the early European Porcelain figures.
