Chinese rosewood 18th century urn or bowl stand with a 18th century famille verte plaque inset into the top. The plaque is porcelain and painted with peony and flowering tree hibiscus. The border painted with 4 shaped panels of emblems from Buddhism which are all separated by a green ground with flowers, clouds and leaves. the painting is very fine with excellent detail
The rosewood stand is a good deep rich colour. with 5 scroll shaped legs attaching to a round running ring at the bottom to keep the legs off the cold wet or damp floors. The scalloped edge to the top joins the legs with ruyi headed shaped scrolls
