Chinese 18th century blue and white porcelain ewer
Reference

Height
16 cm (6 1/4")
Kangxi blue and white porcelain lidded ewer based on the Islamic / Persian metal ware shape. Blue floral shaped panels to the side with decoration of lotus. Like many ewers of this period they can trace the shape and design back to an earlier Ming shape and an Islamic metal ware one. Although this would have been made for export either to the middle east or Holland it would also have been for the Chinese market around the nobility.
