Chinese 17th century blue and white porcelain jar

Kangxi / Transitional ovoid lidded jar. Painted in under glaze blue with two panels of flowering plants issuing from rockwork with flying insects and grasses.
Made at the start of the reign of the Emperor Kangxi just at the end of the Transitional period. The blue is an excellent bright colour so typical of this time.
The helmet lid is a later replacement and is in marked but very probably silver.
