Transitional Blanc de Chine 17th century small censer from the kilns at Dehua. The moulding is very good with crisp modelling of the small lion head handles on the side. These show very good detail.

The colour is very good with a white body and a slightly creamy glaze.

Overall a very good example of a small censer from the Scholars table. Much collected.

very slight unevenness to the rim which would indicate a slight warping In the kiln and a little rough on the edge of the rim

Overall a very good piece
